A standard LearnReady pre-arrival programme consists of four 30-minute* one-to-one sessions, delivered online by an experienced teacher, plus a full learner assessment shared with you, the student, and their destination school on completion. We recommend sessions are taken once a week in the month before the student travels.
*Note that this includes 27 minutes in-class and 3 minutes for the teacher to prep and take notes for the student's assessment.
Yes. We offer three options: an assessment-only programme (2 sessions), a standard pre-arrival programme (4 sessions, recommended), and extended programmes for students who want more preparation time (packages of 2, 3, or more months are available). For longer-stay students or professional relocations, an extended programme can make a significant difference to confidence and readiness.

Yes. We accept students of all ages and our pre-arrival programmes can benefit those going on any type of course – from short mini-stays of one to three weeks, all the way up to longer year-long courses or professional relocations.

Very little! All you need to do is provide us with a list of students' names and email addresses. We'll send back their login credentials and a template welcome message explaining how to get started. From there, we handle all student onboarding, scheduling, support, and learner assessments. You'll receive the completed assessments once students have finished their sessions.
You can provide us with a target date to have each student's learner assessment returned by, so you'll get it even if they haven't taken all their classes. For the best results we encourage all students to complete the full four sessions. For a meaningful learner assessment we recommend a minimum of two sessions per student.
If you notice a student who may need a little encouragement, our team can let you know which students might benefit from a prompt on your side.

Our level assessment is informal but human-led, and ideally takes place across multiple sessions. In practice, a teacher working one-to-one with a student over several classes can often assess level and learning needs more accurately than a standard online placement quiz.

Once you provide us with your students' names and email addresses, we will send you back a complete list of their usernames and passwords, along with a template welcome message you can forward directly to students. It's designed to be as simple as possible on your side.
Yes. Students can choose to continue learning with their favourite teacher online after their pre-arrival programme or in-person course has ended.
